Ah, pleasure… so sweet, like an ancient wine kept for millennia;
so thrilling as the touch of a fair maiden,
as beautiful as the Milky Way,
and as overwhelming as the first taste of love.
It is the drink that offers both sorrow and love within the same cup,
that shapes body and soul according to the fire of desire -
so desired that we destroy ourselves for it.
O pleasure, bring me more of your intoxicating nectar!
Enfold me in your embrace, fill every corner of my mind
with your sweetness that corrupts me,
and destroy me, if you must, with your divine simplicity.
I crave you so deeply that today alone
I have taken sixty-nine sips of you.
I am drunk on your essence,
so full of you that I long for nothing more
than to remain forever beneath your shadow.
You are as beautiful as my imagination,
so filled with sweetness that neither man nor woman escapes you.
They live bound to you, chained to your charm,
their minds intoxicated, their reason asleep.
I am a slave to your flavor;
my life holds little worth without you.
For you, I sacrificed innocence, virtue,
and what little purity remained.
And still - it is not enough.
I want more of you, O sweet temptation.
But the flesh now weakens,
the mind and reason are already corrupted by your presence.
You, who never repaid me,
you, who never held me -
and yet, you have taken everything from me.
Today I am a broken man,
afraid I shall never taste again the other flavors -
the natural, the simple, the pure.
Today I stand before you and confess:
I am a man enslaved by the sweetness of pleasure.
