Desired to be in the sea
But I swim in it.
Every groan and grind and honk,
Mirrors the roar of life.
Multicoloured metal shells ride the currents,
Shimmering scales alike.
Plastered with paint and pretty
Hopeless deep inside.
Those towering towers
One taller than the other.
Waves that envelope waves,
Big sharks devour small fry.
Swarms of people copy schools of fish-
Wandering aimlessly with no wish.
Can't you just see
How we are like the sea?
Working and toiling and bleeding
Just to reach the end,
Yet we are bound by horizons
Ends up back on sand.
I want to break free.
Yet we are all just
Fish in the same sea.
